In Cross Her Heart by Sarah Pinborough, Lisa lives for her daughter, her job and her friend, Marilyn. However, Lisa can only keep her past hidden for so long. When it comes out, her life as she knows it is over. This book goes back and forth in time and a lot of the characters are unlikeable to say the least. In spite of all that, I still enjoyed the book due to the story line and the unexpected twists. I never knew what was coming next and loved the surprise ending! (Gerard's review, 5++ stars)

"Hide" by Kiersten White is a Fun Read
In Hide by Kiersten White, 14 people play a game of Hide and Seek in an abandoned amusement park for a week! One winner gets all the money. The game lasts the whole day. What would your strategy be? This is good stuff. The first part tells about the players and the action picks up once the game begins. I enjoyed the main character, Mack, a lot! I wanted her to win. Liked the ending. "The School for Good Mothers" by Jessamine Chan
In The School for Good Mothers by Jessamine Chan, Frida is going through a rough time. She has her daughter, Harriet, and that is enough for now. Unfortunately, Frida makes a big mistake and has to prove she is a good mother in a government reform program or she will lose all rights to her daughter. This is good stuff! Frida was a good character and the storyline kept me engaged with a good ending. (Gerard's review, 4 stars)

"The Love of My Life" by Rosie Walsh
In The Love of My Life by Rosie Walsh, Leo is married to Emma. They have a daughter, a dog and a good life. Leo writes obituaries for a local paper. When Emma has health problems, Leo looks into Emma's life. It turns out Leo does not know his wife as well as he thought! This book was okay because the storyline and ending were good and I enjoyed the characters; however, it needed more action or at least some twists and turns. (Gerard's review, 4 stars)
