Tuesday Teasers: "Brain on Fire" and "Me Before You"

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should  Be Reading. Anyone can play along, so I thought  I  would play for fun! Just do the following
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page (well, we cheat and choose specific ones)
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on  that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away!   You don’t  want  to  ruin the  book for others!)
  • Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can  add the book to their TBR  Lists  if they  like your teaser.
Gerard's
The last thing he sees is a leather glove, a face under a helmet the shock in the man's eyes mirroring his own. There is an explosion as everything fragments.
From page 15 of Me Before You by Jojo Moyes.

Karen's:
There's something wrong with me. This is how a crazy person acts.
From page 32 of Brain on Fire--My Month of Madness by Susannah Cahalan. (Non-fiction)

Have you read this one? What did you think of it? If you reviewed this too, feel free to share your link to your review in the comments. Happy Reading!

  1. Brain on Fire was so intense -- almost scary to read, because it's true.

Your pile of books is fantastic this week.

  2. The first one is wonderfully dramatic. The second - I hate to admit I've thought that before.

    Great teasers.

  3. Whoa to the first one!!
And to Karens' teaser, I have to ask, do crazy people know they're crazy??? I have to wonder.
