Teaser Tuesday: Four Today

Our Best Book for November
Our favorite read in November was Belzhar by Meg Wolitzer--great book!

What was your favorite read for November?  Now, onto our teasers:

Gerard's:

He'd thought in that moment, two years before, he was a dead man, and that all he had tried to do in his life had been for nothing.  A scar in the shape of a star on his forearm where the second bullet had gone in, and the dark purple sliver of tissue at the back of his left hand where he'd caught a knife through his palm.
From page 16 of Sometimes the Wolf by Urban Waite. (Just finished this last week but it's so good, I wanted to do a teaser from it-- click link to see my review)
It scared me, and must have scared my mother, because this time the dishes under the cloud of suds did more than rattle.  They crashed.
From page 65 of Revival by Stephen King.

Karen's:

Jake had been waiting for exactly this kind of confirmation.  He'd played a hunch, taken a chance, and in his heart of hearts felt it had been a good decision.
From page 18 of Call Me Mrs. Miracle by Debbie Macomber.

"They killed your mother, Beth!" he hollered over the noise.  "Autonuke!  Now!"
From page 11 of One Kick by Chelsea Cain.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should  Be Reading. Anyone can play along, so I thought  I  would play for fun! Just pick two sentences from the book you are reading.

Happy Reading!

  9. Great Teasers! I like Stephen King's description: "dishes under the cloud of suds" but Debbie Macomber's book appealed to me most.
