Teaser Tuesday

Gerard's:

When Kaz had outlined this part of the plan at the hideout on Black Veil, Wylan had been incredulous, and for once, he hadn't been the only one with questions.

From page 14 of Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo.

Karen's:
It felt like it had been raining ever since the day of the barbecue, although she knew this wasn't true.  When she thought of her life before the barbecue, it was suffused with golden sunlight.
From page 25 of Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Books and a Beat. Anyone can play along, so I thought  I  would play for fun! Just pick two sentences from the book you are reading.

Happy Reading!

  1. Only two this week? LOL. I like the sound of The Crooked Kingdom. The title brings all sorts of possibilities to mind.

My teaser today is from a YA new release about bullying. A real page-turner. https://wp.me/p3Nz8P-XL

    1. If TRULY MADLY GUILTY is on your wish list, I'd skip it if I were you (even though Gerard thought it was hilarious).

  6. Which book would I choose? I would take one from the header. My first thought is Robards, because she never lets me down, BUT I really want to read a Maas story, so that's my pick. :-)

    1. The Sarah J. Maas book here is the 5th in The Throne of Glass series. I strongly recommend you read Assassin's Blade to start with and if you like that (we LOVED it), then go on to The Throne of Glass series.
