Tuesday Teaser: "Save Me" -"The Happiness Project" - "Faith"

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should  Be Reading. Anyone can play along, so I thought  I  would play for fun! Just do the following
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on  that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away!   You don’t  want  to  ruin the  book for others!)
  • Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can  add the book to their TBR  Lists  if they  like your teaser.
Save Me
Karen's
She hit the ground running and charged to the walkway, her blond hair flying and her features so contorted with rage that it took a moment for Rose to recognize her. It was Amanda’s mother, Eileen Gigot.

The Happiness Project: Or, Why I Spent a Year Trying to Sing in the Morning, Clean My Closets, Fight Right, Read Aristotle, and Generally Have More FunAll these thoughts flooded through my mind, and as I sat on that crowded bus, I grasped two things: I wasn’t as happy as I could be, and my life wasn’t going to change unless I made it change. In that single moment, with that realization, I decided to dedicate a year to trying to be happier.

Faith: A Novel
"It's an uncomfortable situation. His own brother. He doesn't like to talk about it."

  2. Wonder why Amanda's mom is so upset?

I think we all could work on being happier....

And I wonder what it is about his brother that he doesn't want to talk about?

The snippet from Save Me hits close to home. I work with children and know how frightening an angry mother can be! =P

I have a friend who might like The Happiness Project. She insists that "happiness is a decision," and although she isn't satisfied with the cards she was dealt, she still manages to be happy! =)
