Christians are saved by faith |
The book of Galatians is a short book of only six chapters that is
mainly about the Christian’s freedom in Christ. It is a letter Paul
wrote to the Galatians to encourage them to stay strong in their faith.
Some Galatians were being misled
to believe that they had to be circumcised to be a follower of Christ
and Paul wrote to them emphasizing that was not so. He encouraged them
to stick to the truth, fulfill the law by loving their neighbors as
themselves, and being saved by their faith in
Christ and not by their obedience to the law. They were encouraged to
bear each others burdens, be especially good to other believers, not
grow weary in well doing and let Christ live through them by faith.
