Karen's:
I had the wind of a deer, the muscles of a country boy, a heart full of dog love, and a strong determination.  I wasn't scared of the darkness, or the mountains, for I was raised in those mountains.
From page 33 of Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls.

Super, she probably realized there are still some jeans left in Texas that we have yet to try on.  "It's after three o'clock!  We've forgotten to eat lunch!"

From page 3 (Loc. 473-75) of In Between (A Katie Parker Production, Book 1) by Jenny B. Jones.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm. Anyone can play along, so I thought  I  would play for fun! Just pick two sentences from the book you are reading.

Happy Reading!

  2. Great assortment of teasers. Court of Fives is on my TBR mountain but the rest are from books I've not read - even Where the Red Fern Grows. My teaser this week is from Bridget Wilder: Spy-in-Training by Jonathan Bernstein. Happy reading!

  3. I always love the variety of the teasers here, it really jumps from one genre to the other sometimes. At times I forget they aren't from the same book and just end up really confused by the third before I realize! They all sounds really interesting although 'Where the Red Fern Grows' grabbed me the most! Thanks for sharing :) I hope you have a great week!

  4. As usual, all of your books tempt me; but In Between really grabbed me. Maybe that's because it seems to be set in Texas!

  5. The Court of Fives quote is true about so many things . . . I love it. I can't remember if I have read Where the Red Fern Grows, but I really like the quote--especially "a heart full of dog love". I so get that! It speaks volumes.
