Tuesday Teasers: Four This Week!

Gerard's:
I try to keep it out of my head, as if to do so will somehow keep you out of my life.  But still it creeps in.  Barges in.

From page 4 of The Book of You by Claire Kendal. (I read this last week but liked it so much, wanted to share a teaser from it.  Click link for my review.)

Vera had many different thoughts about this--about these driven fifteen- and sixteen-year-old girls she had not met.
She herself had not enjoyed being that age.
From page 8 of What Has Become of You by Jan Elizabeth Watson.
Karen's:
"I knew this would happen!" cried Coco bitterly.  "Everything is spoiled now!
From page 130 of The Silver Donkey by Sonya Hartnett.  (Juvenile historical fiction)
Our homes can become a haven of mood-enhancing spaces to calm the soul and refresh the mind.
One of the most important aspects of decorating is creating the right kind of mood for you, an environment where you can be relaxed, comfortable, happy and content.
From page 19 of The Color Scheme Bible by Anna Starmer.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should  Be Reading. Anyone can play along, so I thought  I  would play for fun! Just do the following
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page (well, we cheat and choose specific ones)
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on  that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away!   You don’t  want  to  ruin the  book for others!)
  • Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can  add the book to their TBR  Lists  if they  like your teaser.

Happy Reading!
