"Woman of Sunlight" by Mary Connealy
Woman of Sunlight by Mary Connealy is the second of the Brides of Hope Mountain series. This book is about Ilsa and Mitch. Ilsa is a great partner who is very good with the knife and protects Mitch from those trying to kill him. She is fierce and feisty so I liked her very much. In this book, Ilsa leaves her mountain for the first time in her life and discovers trains and cities. Mitch continues to try putting his past behind him so he and Ilsa can live in peace happily on the mountain. The mystery of who wants Mitch dead is solved. (Karen's review, 4 stars)

"The Best of Friends" by Lucinda Berry
The Best of Friends by Lucinda Berry is narrated by three moms of three teen boys who had an incident one night. This book is full of family drama. Read it and see how many of the mothers you like! I liked this book very much. I liked the storyline and the action in it! It was hard to put down. (Gerard's review, 5++ stars)
Karen's review:
I read The Best of Friends by Lucinda Berry because my husband said it was so good and the summary sounded good too. It is about three good friends that played soccer together and their moms who were also good friends. When one of the boys is killed at his friend's house, all the friendships start to unravel. I liked how the story was told by the three mothers. It kept my interest, but was disappointed in the ending. This is a dark story with drugs, deceit, domestic abuse and trauma. It was kind of depressing. (4 stars)

Terrible Book: Head Games by Eileen Dreyer
Head Games by Eileen Dreyer is about a serial killer and a creepy teen who harass the teen's aunt. This book is awful! I hated it! I would have given up on it halfway through except I was curious as to who was sending the body parts to Molly Burke. This book was really gruesome, creepy and depressing. I'm not even going to give it away. (Karen's review, 1 star)
