A Gift to Remember by Melissa Hill is told by Darcy, a young lady you will love. One day while riding her bike, she literally ran over a man. She is okay but the man does not know who he is. Darcy looks after his dog, which I loved too, while trying to help the man regain his memory.
I loved this book because while the ending is sort of predictable, the journey to the end is not and it is told very well.

"One Kick" by Chelsea Cain is a Book We Both Liked
One Kick by Chelsea Cain is about Kick, a woman who was abducted as a child by a man offering to help her find her dog, Monster. She is 21 when the story starts and has trained to protect herself. She knows how to pick locks, can shoot, throw knives, and is into martial arts. Because of what happened to her, she is obsessed with finding two missing children close to her area. Kick reluctantly joins forces with Bishop , a former weapons dealer, to find the abducted children because he says he needs her help. Kick is haunted by old memories as they work together and gets more than she bargained for.
This is quite a story that looks at the world of child pornography but focuses on the life of a victim who lived through it. I liked Kick, the main character, and the interesting relationships she had with Frank, the FBI agent who found her, Bishop, who she joined forces with and Mel, her abductor. I found it hard to put this one down . This is the first installment of an ongoing series.
(Karen's review 12-5-1, 4 stars) One Kick by Chelsea Cain is about a young girl who was kidnapped and held for years. Now rescued, she meets a man who wants her help in finding other kids that have been abducted. She might even find some answers that are still unresolved in her ordeal. It's a page turner, but I would have liked more action. The ending was really good though and I liked seeing how it all plays out.

"The Boy Who Killed Demons" by Dave Zeltserman is Entertaining
The Boy Who Killed Demons by Dave Zeltserman is told by a 15-yr.-old boy named Henry. He can see evil in other people, which he calls “demons.” He keeps a journal of his actions and that is what makes up this book. I enjoyed reading this. Parts of it are sort of kiddish, so some people might get turned off by that. Overall, this book kept me turning pages and the action was pretty good. It has a very nice ending.

"Revival" by Stephen King Gave Me Chills
Revival by
Stephen King is about two men—Jamie Morten and Charles Jacobs. Charles, a preacher and a faith healer,
befriended Jamie when he was a small boy.
As Jamie gets older, he has problems and is down on his luck. He and Charles meet again and this time the
consequences for both men are huge. This
is the Stephen King that I enjoyed years ago with great writing and a real page
turner. The ending gave me chills, LOVED
it!

"Call Me Mrs. Miracle" by Debbie Macomber is a Good Read for the Christmas Season
Call Me Mrs. Miracle by Debbie Macomber is a cute Christmas story about how Mrs. Miracle helps several people: Gabe, a little boy who is living with his aunt Holly while his father is in the service in Afghanistan, a father and son who run a department store who have trouble celebrating Christmas since their wife/mother and daughter/sister were killed in an accident on a Christmas long ago, and a lonely business woman. Holly wants to make it a special Christmas for Gabe, but the only toy he really wants is a robot that costs $250.
This is a happy little story for Christmas that is slow moving but actually has a bit of a surprise ending. I liked it all right in spite of it being fairly predictable. It was made into a Hallmark movie and for those who bake/cook, it gives some recipes! (3 stars)
