In The Guest by B. A. Paris, Iris and Gabriel come home to find their friend, Laurie, in their house. She wants to stay for awhile. They agree, but "awhile" turns into longer than they ever thought. This book is pretty good. It has a good storyline and I liked the characters. It went a bit slow, but has a very good ending so worth the read. (Gerard's review, 4 stars)

"Never Lie" by Freida McFadden
In Never Lie by Freida McFadden, Tricia and Ethan go to look at a house in the middle of a snowstorm. Ethan loves the place; Tricia not so much, until she finds a secret room! What is in the secret room? Do they buy that house or move on?
The great thing about this book is that you get two really good stories. Freida McFadden is a master storyteller. Good luck in figuring how this book ends! (Gerard's review, 5++ stars)

"The Best of Friends" by Lucinda Berry
The Best of Friends by Lucinda Berry is narrated by three moms of three teen boys who had an incident one night. This book is full of family drama. Read it and see how many of the mothers you like! I liked this book very much. I liked the storyline and the action in it! It was hard to put down. (Gerard's review, 5++ stars)
Karen's review:
I read The Best of Friends by Lucinda Berry because my husband said it was so good and the summary sounded good too. It is about three good friends that played soccer together and their moms who were also good friends. When one of the boys is killed at his friend's house, all the friendships start to unravel. I liked how the story was told by the three mothers. It kept my interest, but was disappointed in the ending. This is a dark story with drugs, deceit, domestic abuse and trauma. It was kind of depressing. (4 stars)

"Together for the Twins" by Laurel Blount
Together for the Twins by Laurel Blount is a Christian fiction romance about a gifted nanny, Elise, who breaks her rule about not working for a single man because Ryder Montgomery is charming, a great negotiator and at the end of his rope trying to parent his twin 4-yr.-old nephew terrors who he is guardian of. I really enjoyed this book very much because it was humorous, uplifting, heartwarming and believable. Yes, of course it was predictable; however, I enjoyed the journey immensely and recommend it to anyone who wants a light, happy read. I came across three tips for parenting that could be helpful to parents of young children as well. (Karen's review, 5 stars)

"When I Was You" by Amber Garza
In When I Was You by Amber Garza Kelly's world is falling apart until she comes across another woman who has the same name. She must meet this person! This book was wild in a good way! It has a good twist about the middle that changed the whole book! The storyline was good and I liked Kelly. (Gerard's review, 4.5 stars)
