"Onyx Storm" by Rebecca Yarros

Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros is the third book out of five in this series.  If you enjoyed the first two, you will also like this one.  It felt good to be back with Violet and the dragons!  There is lots of action throughout the whole book.  I enjoyed this book as much as the first two but do not want to give anything away.  (Gerard's review, 5++ stars)

"A Faithful Guardian" by Louise M. Gouge

A Faithful Guardian by Louise M. Gouge is a story about a single mom who has a special needs daughter.  They move into a small town.  A family who pretty much runs the town befriends her, and after all, she has their lost dog!  This was a feel-good story that goes quickly.  It was good but I wish the dog could have had a bigger part.  (Gerard's review, 4 stars)

"More or Less Maddy" by Lisa Genova

In More or Less Maddy by Lisa Genova, Maddy is going into her freshman year of college.  She has good days and bad days.  The doctor gives her pills to get through the bad days, but when those do not help, her mom takes her to see the doctor.  She gets news that will change her whole life--she is diagnosed with a bipolar disorder!  I thought this book was really good.  Maddy is a great character.  Lisa Genova is a great writer; all her books are good!  (Gerard's review, 5++ stars).

"The Crash" by Freida McFadden

In The Crash by Freida McFadden, Tegan is a young lady who can barely support herself and is going to have a baby soon.  However, there is a plan in place that will take are of everything.  Unfortunately, in life plans to not always work out as Tegan is soon realizes.  This author is a master storyteller!  This is a great book!  I loved the storyline which had lots of action and the characters.  (Gerard's review, 5++ stars)

"What Have You Done?" by Shari Lapena

What Have You Done? by Shari Lapena has lots of action.  In a small town, a young teen girl is found dead in a field.  Someone killed her!  That does not happen in this town.  Who did it and why?  I thought this book was very good.  I liked the storyline with lots of action and cared about the characters.  (Gerard's review, 5 stars)
