Tuesday Teasers: "Words" and "The White Cascade"

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should  Be Reading. Anyone can play along, so I thought  I  would play for fun! Just do the following
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on  that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away!   You don’t  want  to  ruin the  book for others!)
  • Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can  add the book to their TBR  Lists  if they  like your teaser.
This is the longest part of the day--when it's too dark to read.
When I read . . .
I forget.
That's how it works.
Taken from page 5 of Words by Ginny L. Yttrup.

"I saw the first rush of snow reach the track [and] swallow the trains," he said. "And then there was neither tracks nor trains. . ."

Happy Reading! We are donating 50 cents for each legitimate comment we receive on all our blogs during May to Joni and Friends for Camp Scholarships for families with special needs children.

  1. These teasers make me think! I like the image of the snow "swallowing" the trains.

Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.

  2. Both excellent teasers! I remember Words getting a lot of buzz. I've got another vintage teaser today from Kilmeny of the Orchard, if you'd like to stop by!

  3. Reading in the dark isn't good or else mothers tell you off

  4. Great teasers! I really like the first one.

    Here's my TT.

  5. Great teasers!

    Thanks for stopping by!

  7. Wow! The teaser for Words sounds really good! Sounds like a nasty situation for The White Cascade.

    Thanks for visiting. :)

  8. Ooh, Words is pretty intriguing! :) I'll need to check that one out.

Thanks for stopping by my blog; I hope you get lots of comments so you can donate lots of money and send some kids to a fun summer camp!

Thanks for commenting and happy reading!
