West With Giraffes by Lynda Rutledge is based on true story how two giraffes went on a 12-day road trip to the San Diego zoo just as World War II was about to start. An old man tells the story, and what a story it is! I enjoyed this because it has a good storyline and some good fiction with a good ending. This was recommended to me by a friend from pickleball.
