Ashlords by Scott Reintgen is teen fantasy about horse racing. It is time for the race with 11 horses and 11 riders. Three riders (Imelda, Pippa and Adrian) have a lot at stake. You will have to read the book to find out what that is. This book gets off to a slow start, but once the race begins, it more than makes up for it! It is easy to follow. I really enjoyed the three main characters and liked it because it has lots of action. Now it is on to Book 2. (Gerard's review, 4.5 stars)

"Bowlers Guide" - Great Instructional Booklet
I found my old Bowlers Guide booklet for years ago and read it again to refresh my memory. It helped me bowl more confidently and consistently, improving my scores from two weeks ago. It gives basic fundamentals, explains how to shoot spares using the 3-6-9 system, tips for lefthanders, seniors and children with lots of pictures. It really covers everything from deliveries to scoring and equipment. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn to bowl or improve their game. I remember giving these to the last place team in our church league years ago. (Karen's review, 5 stars)

"So Help Me, God" by Mike Pence
So Help Me, God by Mike Pence is his autobiography up through his time as Vice President of the United States. I am not big on politics, but was interested to read this to get some insight into the job of Vice President, as well as to see how he worked with President Donald Trump. I found his personal background quite interesting, but all the things he dealt with while serving as Vice President became quite lengthy and at times boring. I skipped over some parts that held little interest for me; however, I did find the things he accomplished quite interesting. I especially liked the part at the end dealing with the riot at the Capitol over the results of the controversial election. He also showed how his faith in Jesus guided his actions and choices. Each chapter highlighted a verse of scripture. After reading this book, I am convinced that Mike Pence would be a good president. I think anyone who is interested in politics would find this book interesting. (Karen's review, 4 stars)

"The Book Your Pastor Wishes You Would Read" by Christopher Ash
The Book Your Pastor Wishes You Would Read by Christopher Ash is a quick read about how to be an encouragement to your pastor. The main point is to remember that your pastor is human, not perfect. I thought it was okay and that it gave some interesting insights. I liked that it was short and went quick! (Karen's review, 4 stars)

"The Lie Maker" by Linwood Barclay
The Lie Maker by Linwood Barclay was recommended to me by a friend. Boy, was she right! In The Lie Maker, Jack's father left him when Jack was very young. Later, Jack is given a chance to maybe find his dad. Jack has to create false histories for people in the witness protection program, like his dad is. But then, his dad becomes really missing. Can Jack find and save his dad? This is good stuff with good action and true-to-life characters. (Gerard's review, 5 stars)

"Zero Days" by Ruth Ware
Ruth ware is always good, and Zero Days is no exception. Jack and Gabe are a good team. When a routine assignment goes wrong, Jack comes home to find her husband, Gabe, dead. She vows to find out who killed Gabe. The cops think it was her! This has a good storyline and the action kept me turning pages with a surprise ending! (Gerard's review, 5 stars)
