Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along, so I thought I would play for fun! Just do the following
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teaser.
Ellen couldn't stop looking at the white card, which read HAVE YOU SEEN THIS CHILD? The resemblance between the boy in the photo and her son was uncanny.Taken from page 1 of Look Again by Lisa Scottoline.
Gerard's:
I do not want comfort from this awful man, but there is no one else here and I reluctantly lean into what comfort he gives. Up until now I have not cried one time. Only on the inside. Now I feel like a rabbit being comforted by a lion. I am so scared.

Wow, very powerful Teasers especially the second one. It's a "real" life experience.
ReplyDeleteSuch intense teasers! Here is my TT.
ReplyDeleteBoth books sounds pretty intense. Thanks for sharing. If you get a chance, my teaser is here.
ReplyDeleteBoth were really good. I couldn't choose a fave.
ReplyDeleteGood teasers. I haven't read anything by Lisa Scottoline but I've heard that her books are excellent.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read either. They both look great.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! A teaser from the Jaycee Dugard book? I'm too scared to read that one, but it's a great teaser.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog earlier!
Okay, I have to choose both books this week. Both are powerful and moving in their own way. But 'Look Again' would be the first one I'd read.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog.
The first teaser is really interesting. Makes you want to read more about it. Nice!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great book for a rainy day or just to sit and read for pleasure. I was moved by what the main character must be feeling as she goes through this experience. Never imagined the ending! It had me in tears. I thought this was an interesting approach to a topic I would not have imagined as a topic for a novel.
