"The Chimps of Fauna Sanctuary" by Andrew Westoll is Fantastic
WOW and Double Wow! The Chimps of Fauna Sanctuary by Andrew Westoll is a fantastic book! Gloria Grow runs a sanctuary for chimps. The author goes there to observe and work too. I loved this book because the chimps are so fascinating! You will never feel the same way about them after you read this! It is a book filled with emotion. I highly recommend it. Read and enjoy.

ReplyDeleteI just finished this book and loved it, I learned so much! I cried throughout; Andrew writes with such compassion it was a lesson in and of itself; then learning the stories of the chimps was excruciatingly painful to read about, I was a mess the entire time I was reading it, on the bus, on the train...I've since adopted two chimps from the fauna website and have gone online to look at the other sanctuaryies he mentions at the end of the book, also watched an hour long talk by Gloria Grow and Nancy...forget her last name, from the LEMSIP lab, that was difficult as well. But I really appreciate his writing and the publication of such information...it's so important for the public to know what is happening behind laboratory walls and also to know that there is hope by way of the sanctuaries. And of course, not to forget, support GAPA!
