Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney is told by Amber. She is in a hospital and in a coma! To find out how she got that way and why, you will have to read the book. This book goes back in time a lot, which I’m not really a big fan of; however, in this book it sort of makes sense because what you think you know, you don’t! I think the author tried to get too cute in this, her first book. Even after I read it, I’m still not sure what is what! That being said, I do recommend it. It is memorable!

Teaser from page 15: Although I am frightened, some primal instinct tells me that I will get through this. I will be okay, because I have to be.

Yes, I read this book. It's not bad, but it is overrated. All the characters are one way, then another, then another, then fine, then bed, etc. our characters, including Amber, are very confusing. It is too easy to put down cm. If you have heard good things about it, lower your expectations.
ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot about this one, which always makes me wonder if it can live up to the hype or not. Sounds like this one doesn't really. I'm still planning to read it, but it's good to know not to go into it with super high expectations.
