Dear Child by Romy Hausmann, a girl goes missing and has been gone for a while. Now the girl has been found. The family is called as the girl is in the hospital, but the family says that the girl in the hospital is not their daughter. This book was pretty good. It is told by a number of people. The story goes back and forth in time some, but I was able to deal with that. It has a good ending, but I would have liked more action. (Gerard's review, 4 stars)
Teaser from page 17: Him standing there, slightly hunched over the bags, his back half-turned to me, his right hand already in one of the bags. The knife lying beside the board, just half an arm's length away, within reach.
